Evidence-Based Psychotherapy
for Adolescents and Adults
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor with almost 20 years of experience in mental health. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University in 2005. I have worked in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings with adolescents, adults and geriatric clients and with diverse client populations including the LGBTQ+ community, veterans and neurodiverse individuals. I have experience in program development and for several years I was the program coordinator for the VA New Orleans Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, a mental health day treatment program for veterans with serious mental illness diagnoses. I am also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is to provide treatment interventions to help clients who are struggling with symptoms related to mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders. I work together with clients to develop an individualized treatment plan based on evidence-based research that supports best practices. I have specific clinical interest and expertise in helping clients with social anxiety, serious mental illness diagnoses, psychosis, suicide prevention and autism spectrum disorders. I am intentional about providing a comfortable and safe treatment environment where clients can successfully identify and work towards achieving self-defined goals while collaboratively engaging in evidence-based approaches for improved functioning and enhanced quality of life.
